This 2-fold challenge focuses on engaging in community and healthy practices.
1. Dedicate a specific 15-minute span of time during your day for contemplative prayer.
2. Whenever you reach for a mobile device, computer keyboard, or phone, etc. recite something that is true and focuses your heart on what is eternal. By doing this we can train our spirits and focus our affections on God rather than turning so often to created things for personal meaning or meaningless entertainment. One of these expressions of truth we say before engaging technology might be:
a. “My soul finds rest in God alone.”
b. “Be still and know that I am God.”
c. “The Lord is my shepherd. There’s nothing else I need.”
